Flexmls Eliminating Full Search on Nov. 18 - METRO MLS Blog
Flexmls® will eliminate Full Search from its system and only offer Quick Search starting Nov. 18. The transition from Full Search to Quick Search has been in the works for months, but Flexmls® did not have a specific date for when the change would occur until recently.

Metro MLS holds webinars twice a week to assist members with the transition to Quick Search. The webinars are free and occur on Wednesdays from now until November. Sign up for a 10 a.m. Wednesday webinar to learn the basics of Quick Search here. Metro MLS also offers an advanced Quick Search class; sign up for that 1 p.m. Wednesday webinar here.

Quick Search is innovative, responsive, and easier to navigate compared to Full Search. It also is mobile-friendly. There is nothing you can do in Full Search that you cannot do in Quick Search. You also will receive more features in Quick Search, as Full Search cannot display some of the new search fields.

Unlike Full Search, where it had multiple tabs and drop-down menus, Quick Search is all on one page. It is easier to adjust mid-search, as all the search fields are on the same page as your results. You also can conveniently add additional search options as you need them. All your existing Full Searches will remain in the system and available to access in Quick Search.

Quick Search offers plenty of features that will save you time as you search the MLS. One feature you will enjoy is the Map Shape tool. It allows you to create customized searches for properties in specific areas. It is one of the five fast features Metro MLS highlighted in a recent tutorial video on Quick Search. The ability to add a property type, exclude a property with a contingency, use the Relative Data feature for searches with date parameters, and eliminate search parameters also are highlighted in the video.
