EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PHOTOS

Residential listings missing a main photo will result in sanctions. We’re here to help….

PICTURE THIS: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PHOTOS

The main photo must be uploaded to all residential listings (excluding new construction) within seven days of the listing contract date.

We are here to help; Metro MLS will upload one main photo for you if needed. If you need assistance uploading a main photo, please follow the instructions for submitting the main picture via email for MLS to enter HERE: HOW TO SUBMIT A PHOTO TO MLS VIA EMAIL

The MLS processes all photos received each day. If you email a photo by 3:00 PM (1:00 PM Fridays), it should appear in the FlexMLS system the next business day. As with all photos sent to the MLS, we encourage you to check the system for accuracy. For questions about photos submitted to the MLS, contact Nydia of the data integrity department or email photos@metromls.com

A FEW QUICK TIPS

  • New Construction/vacant land renderings and/ or drawings can be submitted as a photo
  • Watermarks are not allowed on uploaded photos
  • Business information is not allowed on uploaded photos

If you need to resize your photos, follow these INSTRUCTIONS

1: Photos MUST be in JPEG format. The aspect ratio should be that of a landscape photo

2: Attach images to an email message addressed to photos@metromls.com. It is NOT necessary to include any text in the body of the message

3: Attach photos as MLS#.jpg. (Listing #1234567 would be called 1234567.jpg) The only way to identify a photo is through the MLS# entered. It is important to check all entries for accuracy

4: DO NOT send regular photos or copies of digital photos with the listing contract if a photo was already emailed to the above address

5: To send pictures for multiple listings at once, please attach all digital photos to ONE email message. DO NOT create an email message for each picture. (For example, four separate photos should be sent in one email message)

6: Image size should be UNDER 5MB

7: Remember, square or odd-sized images will be cropped by MLS to the size mentioned above. Be sure that the digital photo sent to us will allow for that type of cropping (or better yet, do the cropping yourself before emailing the image to us!)
