RISMedia has selected Metro MLS CEO Chris Carrillo as a 2021 Real Estate Newsmaker. The media outlet named Carrillo a “Crusader,” which is a leader who champions a better way for the real estate industry.
Carrillo is one of the top leaders in the MLS industry and strives to push the industry forward at the local and national levels. He served as co-chair of the National Association of REALTORS® MLS Standards Work Group, past chairman of the Council of MLS, and on the RESO Board of Directors in 2020.
RISMedia, a leader in U.S. real estate news and information services, named nearly 300 individuals as 2021 Real Estate Newsmakers. These leaders received the accolade due to their positive contributions to the real estate industry during an unprecedented 2020.
RISMedia readers and editors nominated individuals for the 2021 Real Estate Newsmaker awards. The publication divides the recipients into eight categories: Influencers, Trailblazers, Futurists, Achievers, Crusaders, Inspirations, Luminaries, and Trendsetters.
In 2020, Carrillo appeared on RISMedia’s Real Estate Newsmakers list as an “Influencer.”
Carrillo has served as Metro MLS’s CEO since August 2011. He volunteers in various MLS leadership roles and received the 2019 CMLS Peter Shuttleworth MLS Executive of the Year award.
Recently, Carrillo made the 2021 Swanepoel Power 200 list as one of the most powerful residential real estate industry leaders.
