Change is imminent. In November, Flexmls® will move exclusively to Quick Search and eliminate Full Search from its website.
It is a change that has been in the works for some time, as the vendor no longer supports Full Search. The feature also does not work on mobile devices. Although change is never easy, Quick Search is innovative and responsive. It also will allow you to be more productive anytime you are on Flexmls®.
There is nothing you can do in Full Search that you cannot do in Quick Search. You also will receive more features in Quick Search, as Full Search cannot display some of the new search fields. Plus, Quick Search is a lot more efficient and easier to navigate.
Unlike Full Search, where you had multiple tabs and drop-down menus, Quick Search is all on one page. It is easier to adjust in the middle of your search, as all the search fields are on the same page as your results. You also can conveniently add additional search options as you need them.
All your existing Full Searches will remain in the system and available for you to access in the Quick Search format. Quick Search also offers plenty of features that will save you time as you search the MLS.
One convenient feature you will enjoy is the Map Shape tool. It allows you to create customized searches for properties in specific areas. It is one of five fast features that we highlighted in a recent tutorial video on Quick Search. The ability to add a property type, exclude a property with a contingency, use the Relative Data feature for searches with date parameters, and how to eliminate search parameters also are highlighted in the video.
We encourage you to sign up for one of our free Quick Search webinars. We are hosting two training sessions each Wednesday from now until November. If you are unavailable to join a live session, we have previous Quick Search webinars available for you to watch at your convenience.
Throughout 2020, we have had Quick Search Challenges. Feel free to look at the eight challenges we did and see if you can accomplish the challenges:
