The metro Milwaukee-area housing market remained steady in August. New listings declined 6.8% year-over-year, while pending sales were nearly flat (+0.3%) and closed sales dipped slightly (-0.1%).
Prices continued to climb, with the median sales price up 5.9% to $379,000 and the average sales price also up 5.9% to $448,898. Homes sold in a median of 19 days, a day longer than last August. Inventory grew 5.2% to 3,014 homes, bringing the months’ supply of inventory to 2.0, up from 1.9 last year.
